Anti-static foam and conductive foam are made by extruding polyethylene or modified polyethylene with conductive filler and anti-static agent, after radiation cross-linking and high temperature foaming.The main difference is the surface resistance.
The surface resistance of the antistatic foam is between 106Ωand 109Ω;
The surface resistance value of the conductive foam is between 103Ωand 106Ω.
Due to the difference in resistance, the electrostatic half-life of antistatic foam is greater than that of conductive foam. At the same time, the electrostatic voltage of the anti-static foam is also higher than that of the conductive foam, both of them have the ability to automatically release static charge.The conductive foam is more suitable for electronic products with high electrostatic sensitivity.
